Catania

Second city most populated in Sicily after Palermo, Catania is also one of the oldest of the island, foundated by greeks in the VIIIth BC.

Several places are interessing, as the baroc churches, the cathedral, the castle and the historical center where is traditionaly a fish market.

Catania is situated at the bottom of Etna, 45 km far from Taormina and 60 km from from Syracuse.
